·         One of two TSM administrators managing over 450 AIX, Solaris, Linux, and Windows servers at multiple datacenters, insuring all data is securely backed up and electronically vaulted to a Disaster Recovery datacenter daily.

·         Reconfigured the existing TSM resources and environment to best fit the customers' needs for a cost savings of over $250,000.00 this year alone.

·         Tested quarterly the Disaster Recovery procedures and capabilities of all systems I was responsible for by actually failing over to those systems and proving availability and continuity of systems and data with no impact to current production processing.

·         Implemented and managed the enterprise monitoring software  AppManager by NetIQ. This was used on all UNIX and Linux servers, monitoring and reporting of performance and availability, so that Service Level Agreements with customers and other groups were being met. This also allowed for a lights out approach to server monitoring allowing for a reduction in man hours needed to perform the same tasks.

·         Designed the architecture, implemented and managed the security software Secure Configuration Manager by NetIQ. The software is being used to ensure that all UNIX and Linux servers are being hardened / secured to IT Security Policy, Best Practices, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.

·         As a team Installed AIX P series servers that were subsequently built out as multiple virtual servers so that we could migrate older stand alone servers to these virtual servers reducing the datacenter footprint, cooling and electrical needs and in the end reducing cost.

·         Verified  daily the performance of the AIX servers I was responsible for and made sure that all micro-code and operating system patches were up to date to insuring reliability.

·         Designed the architecture and implementation of the enterprise monitoring software Tivoli Monitoring by IBM. This software is replacing the NetIQ AppManager application above.
